“Ok guys, bad news: we lost that last one.” This article documents beta/cut/unused/experimental content for Team Fortress 2. It may contain speculation, broken links or errors. |
The Pipebomb Launcher, is a scrapped secondary weapon for the Demoman. It used a Grenade Launcher model, with the possible difference in the form of a folded sight, simular to TFC version. The weapon was scrapped for officially-unknown reasons and replaced with the Stickybomb Launcher before the final release.
The Pipebomb Launcher fired bouncy pipebombs that can only be blown up on the player's command. The Demoman can be seen using these pipebombs against Scout in Trailer 2. The Grenade Launcher has an animation that is missing from the game and probably belongs to the Pipebomb Launcher, which shows that it can be charged up to launch a pipebomb over greater distances, similar to Stickybomb Launcher.
Judging by the fact that Pipebomb Launcher uses a Grenade Launcher model, it most likely shares a magazine with this weapon, like in TFC.
