Featured article — Crafting
Crafting is an in-game system that allows players to create specific items, such as weapons, cosmetics, as well as materials that can be used in further crafting by repurposing unwanted or duplicate items obtained through the Item drop system.

To create these items, the player must follow explicit blueprints, all of which are initially available to players with a Premium Team Fortress 2 account. Following a valid blueprint recipe, the player will obtain the item indicated by the blueprint. Non-Premium users cannot craft Rare or Special items, and tools cannot be crafted under any circumstances. If the player attempts to craft an item without a corresponding blueprint, they will be notified that no such recipe exists, and no items will be lost.
