"Hold still, Schweinhunds, this will only sting for a moment."
The Medic on long-range injections

The Crusader's Crossbow is a primary weapon for the Medic, replacing the Syringe Gun. It appears as a crossbow with a metal barrel attached to a canister with the Medic's cross emblem on it. Similar to the Huntsman, this weapon can shoot arrows that travel in a slight arc with a team-colored trail behind it. Unlike the Huntsman, however, it requires no charging up (though it is slow to reload) and can shoot arrows into both teammates and enemies (respectively healing or hurting the target). Damage healed/inflicted is based on distance traveled, and unlike every other weapon in the game, the damage done by its projectiles increases with distance, rather than decreases. Talented Pyros can reflect the arrow back at the Medic, or into teammates to give them a health boost.

This item is part of the Medieval Medic set.
