Right about now you must be wondering how in God's name you're supposed to pronounce Claidheamohmor. The answer: you don't! If you're remotely near one you'll be dead long before you're done injuring your vocal chords anyway!
— Fancy Vs. Nasty update description

The Claidheamohmor is a Template:W just like the Eyelander with bloodstains along the blade, an ornate crossguard and a red and green Template:W cloth wrapped around the hilt. Although its name is the Gaelic form of Template:W swords, it appears to be more closely modeled after a Swiss or German Zweihänder with parierhaken guards above the Template:W.

The weapon was originally created for the Fancy vs. Nasty Update and since has been officially added to the game.

Weapon Info

  • The Claidheamohmor does not give heads for each kill, unlike the Eyelander or Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker.
  • This weapon has no taunt, like the Scotsman's Skullcutter and Headless Horseless Horsemann's Headtaker.
  • Like the other two-handed Demoman melee weapons, the Claidheamohmor has a larger melee range.

Trivia

  • Claidheamh mòr is the Scots Gaelic phrase for Claymore (meaning "great sword") and is pronounced "clai" (as in "claire") - "v" (or "ph") - "more".
