Well don't that beat all?
The Engineer on hair loss

Texas Slim's Dome Shine is a headwear item for the Engineer. It isn't actually a hat at all, instead removing the Engineer's default helmet to reveal his shining, bald pate.

The hat description was written by FarazParsa.

Trivia

  • Upon closer inspection, it appears the Engineer is not entirely bald, but elects instead to shave his remaining hair off.
  • The description is a reference to one of the Mini-Sentry kill responses, which is in turn a reference to Meet the Engineer.
  • This is one of three 'hatless' hats in the game along with Baseball Bill's Sports Shine and Ritzy Rick's Hair Fixative.
  • Before the Mann-Conomy Update, Texas Slim's Dome Shine was not displayed in the "Inspect" target window after cycling through a player's equipped items using the "Inspect" key, even though it is a hat.
  • Before the Classless Update it was possible to simulate having this hat by switching to engineer during a taunt.
