Map Overview

This article is about Community Burghausen strategy.

Note: It is recommended to read the main Burghausen article first to become familiar with the names of key map locations used in this article.

General strategy

  • Like Degroot Keep, Burghausen is a Medieval Mode map that restricts players to solely melee weapons with a few exceptions. However, unlike Degroot Keep, Burghausen is a much smaller map that gives less of an advantage to the few long-ranged options.
  • When defending on the last two stages, RED's spawn room is extremely close to the point, so if you're defending, you can slip out of combat to replenish your health.

Class-specific strategies

  • If the enemy team has a Demoknight using the Half-Zatoichi, consider using one yourself as it allows you to instantly kill him and fill your Rage meter.

  • The Ullapool Caber can be quite an effective weapon for defending the last two control points since you can charge out of spawn, hit any attackers with a boosted explosion, and retreat to the resupply cabinet. The cabinet refills your charge, health, and Caber, allowing you to be a constant threat.

  • The Killing Gloves of Boxing are quite powerful on such a small map, allowing you to become far more powerful after a kill.

Leaderboard class engineer.png Engineer

  • The Gunslinger's main downside of building a Mini-Sentry has no effect on Medieval Mode gameplay, so you receive the extra 25 health and three-hit combo essentially for free,

Leaderboard class medic.png Medic

  • Use the Amputator's Medicating Melody taunt while behind cover to heal your team while not exposing yourself to danger.

  • The battlements beside the point provide an excellent vantage point for the battlefield while being difficult for enemies to reach, since they would have to go past the point where the rest of your team is likely to be.

  • When defending the first control point, consider jumping from the walls to either side of the point to land behind unsuspecting attackers.
