Like many students, the Heavy earned his PhD in Russian Literature with late nights of studying and paid with his eyesight. These glasses may fix it, but they won't help the wearer learn counting to 3.

The Gabe Glasses are a community-created miscellaneous item for the Heavy. They are a pair of wire-framed reading glasses similar to the ones worn by Gabe Newell.

The Gabe Glasses were contributed to the game via the Steam Workshop under the name "Honcho's Heavy Reader".

  • The Gabe Glasses were added to the game.

Trivia

  • The item's original description at the Steam Workshop refers to the widespread joke of "Valve can't count to 3", mainly referring to Half-Life 2: Episode 3 being delayed numerous times.
