— The Engineer destroying projectiles
|
” |
The Short Circuit is a promotional secondary weapon for the Engineer. It is awarded in Genuine quality to players that pre-ordered Deus Ex: Human Revolution before August 22, 2011. Enemies hit by the Short Circuit will emit white electrical sparks for a brief moment. Enemies killed by the Short Circuit suffer a distinctive death by vaporization: they turn black, hover in mid-air while performing a specific disintegration animation surrounded by team-colored particles, and then disappear into ashes.
Firing the Short Circuit results in a burst of electrical energy that does minor damage and destroys enemy projectiles at the expense of 35 metal. The weapon needs no reloading and cannot crit.
