This article is about Community Burghausen strategy.
Note: It is recommended to read the main Burghausen article first to become familiar with the names of key map locations used in this article.
General strategy
- When defending on the last two stages, RED's spawn room is extremely close to the point. If you are defending, you can slip out of combat to replenish your health.
Class-specific strategies
Scout
- Consider using the Mad Milk and throwing it on a team when fighting to make the most out of it.
Soldier
- If the enemy team has a Demoknight using the Half-Zatoichi, consider using one yourself as it allows you to instantly kill him and fill your Rage meter.
Pyro
- If you have a Scout with Mad Milk on your team, the Neon Annihilator can deal Critical hits to any soaked player while returning 60% of the damage as health.
Demoman
- The Ullapool Caber can be an effective weapon for defending the last two control points since you can charge out of spawn, hit any attackers with a boosted explosion, and retreat to the resupply cabinet.
Heavy
- The Killing Gloves of Boxing's Critical hits can be effectively chained on a map of this size, allowing for potentially devastating combos.
Engineer
- The Gunslinger is recommended due to its health bonus and three-hit combo.
Medic
- The Amputator is one of the few of Medic's weapons still able to heal, so use the Medicating Melody near chokepoints or around corners for your teammates to retreat to.
Sniper
- The battlements beside the point provide an excellent vantage point over the battlefield while being difficult for enemies to reach, since they would have to go past the point where the rest of your team is likely to be.
Spy
- When defending the first control point, consider jumping from the walls to either side of the point to land behind unsuspecting attackers.
