This article is about Community Frosty strategy.

Note: It is recommended to read the main Frosty article first to become familiar with the names of key map locations used in this article.

General strategy (All Classes)

  • Using knockback weapons to kill the Intelligence carrier by knocking them off a cliff immediately teleports the Intelligence briefcase back to the home base. If you are not near the cliff at the Tower, or notice the Intelligence carrier is not taking a route by the cliff, try to force the Intelligence carrier to divert to it in order to give your team a better chance of immediately resetting the briefcase.
  • The Underground Tunnel can prove quite useful for escaping back to your team or pushing through without exposing yourself to Snipers.
  • One of the fastest ways to reach the Intelligence is to use the Underground Tunnel to reach their courtyard and slip through the broken wall. Once you have the Intelligence, the stairwell on the left/right allows you to escape to the Pipeline and bring the briefcase back to your base. However, be wary of Snipers watching the exposed Pipeline area.
  • The small health kit on the elevated platform in front of the Tower is a great place to take the high ground. The health pack mitigates part of the damage taken from an explosive jump to get up to it, and the nearby rocks can give classes without explosive jumps access.
  • The small roofs that litter each team's Outer Courtyard can be used by classes with flanking capabilities like Pyros using the Backburner, Scouts using the Backscatter, or Spies.

Class-specific strategy

  • At the beginning of the round, the Pipeline area or the Underground Tunnel can be used to reach the Intelligence before any Engineers can set up Sentry Guns.
  • The Underground Tunnel can also be great for flanking Snipers, especially when using the Back Scatter.
  • You can quickly reach the opposite Outer Courtyard by double jumping from the nearby rooftop at the front side of the Tower onto the platform, then jumping onto the opposing rooftop. This route also bypasses any ground-level combat going on.
  • Using the Bonk! Atomic Punch lets you bypass most of the defenses the enemies have laid out by using it to run to the vent system just before the broken wall. When in the vent system, take advantage of the pathway leading behind the Intelligence to catch unsuspecting enemies. Be wary of using this route too often, as attentive Engineers may block the vent with a Dispenser, forcing you to flee or destroy it, thereby exposing your position in the process.
  • The enclosed nature of the Underground Tunnel makes hitting opponents with projectiles such as the Flying Guillotine, Sandman's baseball, Wrap Assassin's bauble, or the Mad Milk much easier due to the lack of space for the enemies to dodge.
  • The wide drop directly above the Intelligence can be a reliable escape method for Scouts when using their movement-amplifying weapons like the Force-a-Nature, Winger, Soda Popper, or Atomizer.

  • Soldier is one of the few classes that can make great use of the Pipeline area thanks to his rocket jumping. It is also very favorable to take this path, as there are two small health kits at either end and an additional third small health kit in the room at the end of the pathway. These health kits can negate the damage dealt from the rocket jumps.
  • You can rocket jump onto the door of the battlements or onto the fence just beside it. This position can be effective when taking down oppressive Snipers or when supporting teammates who are holding the enemy's Intelligence.
  • Rocket jump onto the poles at either side of the Tower for an off-angle on entryways and control over the medium health kit at the centre of the map.
  • The Market Gardener can be quite effective because of its open areas, high verticality, and number of health kits that can help mitigate fall damage or rocket jumping damage.

  • Use the Thermal Thruster to quickly clear the distance from the battlements to the Pipeline, allowing for fast rollouts or to defend the Intelligence if it is dropped there.
  • Flank opponents using the vent system by sitting above the vent itself, using either the Thermal Thruster or the Detonator to get there.
  • If an ÜberCharge push takes place near the cliff, use the compression blast to stop the push dead in its tracks.

  • The wide drop above the Intelligence room provides an easy way to damage both the Engineer and his buildings without entering the Sentry Gun's range.
  • Sticky jump onto the poles at either side of the Tower for an off-angle on entryways and control over the medium health kit at the centre of the map.
  • You can sticky jump directly from the roof of your outer courtyard to the opposite team's, letting you easily flank and surprise unsuspecting foes.
  • Use the Scottish Resistance to hold multiple chokepoints, like the Pipeline and the Underground Tunnel, at once or set a trap by the Intelligence to deter anyone from approaching it.

  • Heavies on both teams can use the rocks as a vantage point to catch unsuspecting foes. However, only Heavies on the RED team can use these rocks to parkour to the elevated platform as there aren't enough rocks for the Heavies on BLU to be able to jump there.

  • Buildings can be placed on the elevated platform, providing strong control over the centre of the map. However the side roofs that leads to the centre are spots that can easily counter this nest location.

Leaderboard class sniper.png Sniper

  • Snipers can use the rocks by the Pipeline to gain some cover while also opening different sightlines to catch players off-guard.
  • The Pipeline serves as a great way to take out enemy Snipers as it provides a clear view directly into the opposing team's battlement.

  • The Cloak and Dagger can be useful when staying on the elevated platform as it allows you to stalk your enemies and wait for an opportunity to strike.
  • The Dead Ringer can also be very effective due to the large open space, allowing you to slip away much more consistently.
