Workshop Wonderland was an annual community showcase and charity event hosted by void~ . Anyone who was willing to participate was encouraged to design winter-themed submissions encompassing anything that could be submitted to the Steam Workshop: weapons, cosmetic items, taunts, War Paints, or maps, and upload them with a special thumbnail designating a contest submission. These would then be compiled into a large showcase at the end of winter, for the community to enjoy. Each participant would receive an in-game medal, as a reward for their time.
In 2017, the showcase was rebranded as Nightmare Before Smissmas, and expanded to additionally include Halloween-themed submissions.
In 2015 and 2016, there was also a charity drive to support SpecialEffect, which would award users who donated over 5 USD to each charity drive with another medal. Players could earn both the participation medal and the donation medal, if they so desired.
