The Demoman on missing limbs

The Bootlegger is a community-created primary weapon for the Demoman. It is a single pirate's boot and a peg leg that replace the Demoman's standard boots.

This weapon functions identically to the Ali Baba's Wee Booties.

The Bootlegger was later contributed to the Steam Workshop, at Valve's request.

The backpack icon was contributed by 76561198000198761.

Bugs

  • If a Spy changes their disguise from a different class to a Demoman wearing either Ali Baba's Wee Booties or the Bootlegger, their disguise weapon will be that of the previous disguise. For example, if they were disguised as a Pyro wielding the Degreaser before changing to a Demoman wearing the Booties/Bootlegger, their disguise will still be wielding the Degreaser, but be a Demoman to enemy players.
  • Despite the boots are suppost to give 200% turn power while Charging, it currently doesn't do that.

Notes

Trivia

  • The term bootlegging originated from concealing hip flasks of alcohol in the legs of boots.
