The Wanga Prick is a community-created melee weapon for the Spy. It is an over-sized voodoo pin with a cracked Team Fortress 2 "death skull" serving as part of the handle.
This weapon functions identically to Your Eternal Reward, however it does not function as a substitute in the Saharan Spy item set.
Taunting with the Wanga Prick equipped results in the Fencing kill taunt. Kills made are silent and the victim's corpse disappears. However, the disguise effect is not activated even if the taunt hits the victim's back.
The Wanga Prick was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Update history
- The Wanga Prick was added to the game.
- Fixed the Wanga Prick sometimes floating in the world after death.
- Fixed missing Cloak effect for the Wanga Prick.
- [Undocumented] Fixed the Wanga Prick not glowing when Crit-boosted.
- Fixed Spies that have picked up a dropped Your Eternal Reward or Wanga Prick being able to manually disguise.
October 20, 2017 Patch #1 (Jungle Inferno Update)
- [Undocumented] Changed attributes:
- Removed Cannot Disguise penalty.
- Non-kill disguises require and consume a full cloak meter. Backstab-based disguises are still free.
- Increased cloak drain rate by 33%.
Bugs
- Should the player die after switching the equipped melee from the Wanga Prick to the Knife, respawning may not be possible until they swap classes.
- Backstabbing the person a player is disguised as while the victim is holding their melee weapon occasionally causes the disguise weapon to become the Wanga Prick.
- If the Spy backstabs an enemy who is then auto-balanced, the Spy disguises as a friendly version of that class.
- Certain problems exist with the weapon when using DirectX 8; enemy bodies do not fade away when backstabbed, and the weapon is visible when the Spy is cloaked.
- Backstabbing a disguised Spy using the Wanga Prick does not give the Spy achievement Counter Espionage.
- Carrying the Intelligence while disguised, which is normally impossible, can be performed by being undisguised, picking it up, and backstabbing someone at the exact same time.[1]
- Sometimes, backstabbing a robot in Mann vs. Machine does not disguise the player as the robot.
- Disguising while holding out the Dead Ringer results in it still being held out and showing it charging. Upon it being fully charged, it acts normally. However, if the user takes damage while the uncharged Dead Ringer is active they still receive the 75% feign damage resistance on the first hit taken.
Notes
- Backstabbing an Engineer while he is hauling a building results in the killfeed displaying the building's destruction to the enemy team.
Trivia
- A wanga (sometimes spelled 'oanga' or 'wanger') is a magical charm packet found in the folk magic practices of Haiti.
