Now Sasha - Don't be jealous
Natascha publicity blurb

Natascha is an unlockable primary weapon for the Heavy. Similar in appearance to the default Minigun, this weapon boasts a jet black ammunition carrier and additional chain belt.

Each bullet fired by Natascha greatly slows hit enemies for a brief period of time, but slows enemies down less if they are further away. In addition, the weapon, similarly to the Brass Beast, grants 20% damage resistance when spun-up if the player's health would reach 50% or lower after being hit. As downsides, Natascha's bullets are 25% weaker than those of the default Minigun and the weapon has a 30% increased spin-up time.

Natascha is automatically given to any player who obtains 16 Heavy achievements.

The kill icon for Natascha was contributed by NeoDement.

December 21, 2016 Patch (Smissmas 2016)

October 20, 2017 Patch (Jungle Inferno Update)

  • The 1-second damage and accuracy penalty now applies to the first second of spun-up time, whether or not the Heavy is firing. Previously, the 1-second damage penalty would only be removed after 1 second of firing.
  • Accuracy and damage penalties now reset when the Heavy spins down, rather than when the Heavy stops firing. This means if you stay spun-up beyond one second, and fire in bursts, damage and accuracy will remain at 100%.

  • The attribute "-20% damage resistance when below 50% health and spun up" is incorrect, as the resistance applies if the Heavy takes enough damage to go below 50% health.
    • The attribute is also incorrectly listed as -20% damage resistance when below 50% health and spun up, instead of +20%.
  • The extra critical damage provided by a critical hit is not impacted by damage resistance, only the base hit.
    • The extra critical damage provided by a mini crit is not impacted by damage resistance, only the base hit.
  • When empty, the weapon's dry fire sound does not loop properly and cuts out after a few seconds.
  • If secondary fire is held down at the same time as primary fire up until 1 bullet remains, if the heavy taps primary fire the muzzle flare and firing noise will continue to play. This is visible by other players and in third person.
  • Diagonal movement bypasses the weapon's 40% movement reduction, causing its applied slow to do very little, making the 100% chance to slow target attribute inaccurate or at the very least, worthless.
  • Immediately revving after taunting will cause the barrel to not spin, this can be fixed by firing the gun.
  • When holding the primary fire button during a taunt the Natascha's muzzle flash turns invisible.

  • Natascha is referred to as both the "Minifun" and "Ludmila" within the game files.
  • The Natascha appears to be based on the M61 Vulcan rotary cannon as well as the stock Minigun.
