Four hits with this new weapon will fully charge whatever medigun the Medic has equipped.
Ubersaw publicity blurb

The Ubersaw is an unlockable melee weapon for the Medic. It is a cleaver-like blade fixed into a Bonesaw grip. Its most prominent feature is a large syringe filled with team-colored, glowing liquid and the needle protruding out of the front of the weapon.

Every successful hit against an enemy player with this weapon adds 25% to the player's ÜberCharge meter, at the cost of a 20% slower swing rate. This effect still applies to a Scout under the effects of Bonk! Atomic Punch; however, the Scout will not receive any damage. Successful hits against disguised or invisible Spies will not fill the ÜberCharge meter. Its critical hit animation is an upwards sawing motion, similar to the animation used by the Bonesaw.

The vial on the Ubersaw's syringe serves as a visual representation of a Medic's ÜberCharge. It fills slowly as teammates are healed and enemies are attacked with the weapon. Should the ÜberCharge be deployed and the player switch to the Übersaw, the liquid can be seen slowly draining from the syringe.

Taunting with the Ubersaw equipped will perform the Spinal Tap kill taunt. A successful kill with this taunt will give a Medic 100% ÜberCharge.

The Übersaw is automatically given to any player who obtains 22 Medic achievements.
