Did this come from hell? It did, didn't it? Awww, man. It's like what the Devil uses when he plugs up his toilet or somethin'.
The Scout

The Sun-on-a-Stick is a promotional melee weapon for the Scout. It appears as an ornate jet-black mace topped with a glowing fiery orb and black spikes.

This weapon delivers 15% less damage than the default Bat, but guarantees a Mini-Crit when the Scout bashes a burning enemy with it.

Players who pre-ordered RIFT on Steam before March 1, 2011 received a Genuine quality version of the weapon.

Update history

  • The item was added to the game.

February 7, 2011 Patch

  • Increased the base damage for the Scout's Sun-on-a-Stick, and changed it to always Mini-Crit against burning targets if the attack is not already critical. Previously the weapon only had fixed increased damage against alight enemies.
  • Updated the RIFT pre-order items to be not-tradable until the RIFT pre-order period is over.

March 1, 2011 Patch

  • The item became tradable and craftable.

Trivia

  • According to Trion Worlds' press release for the promotion, the Sun-on-a-Stick was originally intended to use the Boston Basher's stats.[1]
  • The item description refers to the line spoken by the character Alejandro Murrieta in the film Template:W.[2]
