“ | Death is not the end...
— Afterlife publicity blurb
|
” |
Afterlife is a symmetrical Arena community-created map released during the Scream Fortress 2025 update. It has both an overworld and an underworld.
The map introduces a unqiue mechanic where death is not permanent and instead temporarily held in hell instead. Rather than being relegated to spectator for the remainder of the match, players who die are sent directly to Hell to continue fighting, that they may collect souls to bargain for their lives. Any player who scores a kill or assist on an enemy in Hell steals their soul, and can take it to one of the altars to resurrect themselves, rejoining the fight in the main arena back on Earth. If a player dies in hell they will still respawn in hell.
Afterlife was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

- Underpass: Has 2 Areas, directly to the tower beside the point and the other to the opposing team's area.

Hell Arena
- Underworld Tower: Surrounded by Infernal Lava, Similar to the middle tower on Earth, instead of a control point it's been replaced with one large Health Kit and Ammo Box.
- Skull Altars: Skull Altars are placed in both sides, similar to the positions of the 2 buildings between the Control Point on Earth. They are used to bring back a player if they successfully collected a soul by killing someone in hell without dying. If attempting to enter without collecting a soul, the Devil will notify tbe player to collect a soul before returning to Earth.
