Blowout is a community-created King of the Hill map released during the Summer 2025 Update. It takes place on an offshore oil rig with a tall drilling derrick, on which the control point is located. Every time the control point is captured, the derrick spews out oil, causing nearby players to become coated in gas. Once the timer counts down and the match ends, the oil derrick suffers a catastrophic blowout which kills all nearby players.
Blowout was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
Locations
- Team Spawns: Each team has a single spawn located underneath a large helicopter pad. Each spawn has two floors, with the upper floor featuring two large exits. There is also a smaller side exit located on the bottom floor.
- Team Yard: Upon exiting the spawn, players find themselves inside of a wide open area that connects to each team's Company Offices. A large ammo pack can be found here.
- Company Offices : Separating the Team Yard from the central control point is a large building featuring many rooms and corridors. For BLU, this is the Aqua Oil Co. while for RED, it is the Redstar Petroleum Co. The building has three entrances facing the spawn, which then branch out into six exits leading out to the control point.
- Maintenance Section: The left-most entrance of the Company Offices leads to a spacious room, inside which is a shipping container and the exit for the Ventilation Shaft.
- Stairwell: On the left wall of the Maintenance Section is a doorway to a stairwell. Taking the lower stairs leads one to a medium health pack and a large ammo pack, while at the top of the stairs a small health and ammo pack await.
- Central Corridor: An L-shaped hallway which can be accessed by taking the central and right-most entrances to the Company Offices. Connected to it is the Dropdown.
- Dropdown: A hole in the floor that exits out to the Below Area.
- Ventilation Shaft: Connecting the Central Corridor with the Maintenance Section is a ventilation duct which players can enter.
- Minor Terrace: One of the exits out of the Central Corridor leads to a suspended platform overlooking the control point.
- Oil Derrick: The control point is located in an open area in between both team's Company Offices. It sits atop an elevated concrete foundation, surrounded on all sides by a ditch. In the middle of the control point is an oil derrick.
- Bridge: Two bridges connect the Company Offices to the platform that houses the control point.
- Below Area: The lower area surrounding the control point. It can be accessed from the Maintenance Section or the Dropdown, which lead directly to it, or by jumping off one of the Bridges. Several staircases connect this area to the control point.
