Also, what's that behind you? Oh, it's just someone drinking a bottle of sparkling water. Oh wait it's a skeleton! [sound of creaking door]
— Scream Fortress

Mann Manor is a community-made Attack/Defend map released in the Scream Fortress Update. It is a night-time map set in and around the old, decaying mansion of Redmond Mann. It introduced the Horseless Headless Horsemann, a neutral boss that periodically spawns at contested points on the map and mercilessly attacks all players, and has pumpkin bombs littered throughout the map.

This map introduced the original Haunted Halloween Gifts, but these have since been replaced with Soul Gargoyles.

Mann Manor won first place in the TF2Maps.net Art Pass Contest.

The setup timer is 1 minute and 15 seconds.

Locations

Note: If you are having trouble with finding the locations listed here, see the Helpful overview section to see their exact position marked on the map.

Pictogram comment.png The following locations are described from the BLU perspective.

Point A

  • BLU Spawn: The BLU spawn is a small rectangular room with three exits. Two are to the front of the base through a shutter door, and one is on the right through a small house into the Yard.
  • Yard: The yard outside BLU's spawn, connects to the Warehouse and the main chokepoint. A medium health and ammo pack can be found here.
  • Warehouse: The small two-floor building directly across from the point, connects to the Yard. It has a small balcony that overlooks the first point.
  • Shed: The two-story shed across from the the Warehouse contains a large health and ammo pack. It has a main entrance facing the Tunnel and an alternative entrance through an open window in its second floor, accessible by climbing a piece of roofing.
  • Tunnel: A rock archway to one side provides a medium health kit and a main highway for both teams to travel through. It connects the areas of Points A and B.
  • Point A: The first control point is nested against the side of Redmond's Mansion. Behind it is an elevated platform that has a small health and ammo kit and is connected to a small storage space on the control point's right side.
  • Shortcut: Located further behind the control point is an opening in the wall that allows the RED team to quickly access Point A. When the point is captured, the Shortcut is closed.

Point B

  • Cliffs: The cliff that rest atop the Tunnel. A jump from the Cliff can be made to the roof of the Coffin House next to the rocky outcrop. The Cliff connects to the Crane House.
  • Coffin House: A house situated in front of the control point's shack. Its entrance faces towards the Tunnel, away from the defending side.
  • Apartment: A narrow wooden structure that hugs the Cliffs. Located in between the Coffin House and Apartment is a dirt road leading to the second point.
  • Point B: The second point is located inside a wooden shack tucked into a corner and overlooked by the main entrance to Redmond's Mansion. It has an elevated outcrop on the far side that offers high ground and a hole in the middle of its roof that oversees Point B. The shack contains a single small health pack.
  • Mansion Entrances: The entrance to Redmond's Mansions has two sets of stairs on both of its sides. One leads to a spot overlooking the area surrounding Point B and has an entrance to the Top Floor of RED's base, while the other leads to the Shortcut to Point A.

Point C

  • Lower Entrance Hallways: The main entrance to the Mansion is through a wide chokepoint that diverges into two hallways.
    • Left Hallway: The left and longer path leads directly to the final control point. Found along the way are a small health and ammo pack.
    • Right Hallway: The right path leads to the Piano Room.
  • Piano Room: The room at the end of the Right Hallway. Besides a black piano, it has a medium health and ammo pack. One of its walls is a giant window from which the point can be observed.
  • Upper Entrance Hallway: Above the main entrance, accessible via an outdoors stairway, is a hallway that leads to the Top Floor.
  • Top Floor: The Top Floor of the manor is a room with a fireplace and a medium health and ammo pack. It has two exits: one leads to the Dilapidated Ceiling and the other to a stairwell that connects to the Library.
  • Dilapidated Ceiling: High above the point is a ceiling with a large hole in its middle. The parts of the ceiling lining the Mansion's walls have remained somewhat intact, forming a path from RED spawn to the Top Floor.
  • Server Room: Located on Point C's right side is a cramped room with bookshelves leading to the Top Floor.
  • Point C: The final control point is in the heart of Redmond's Mansion, directly in front RED Spawn, surrounded by a lethal pit on three sides.
  • RED Spawn: A two-story spawn. The bottom level has two exits to the left and right of Point C, while the top exit has staircases leading down to C or up to the Dilapidated Ceiling. Just outside the RED spawn is a medium health pack and ammo pack.

Horseless Headless Horsemann

Main article: Horseless Headless Horsemann
In-game screenshot

Mann Manor was the first map to feature an enemy like the Horseless Headless Horsemann — a giant, hostile entity that chases and kills members of both teams. He has a great deal of health, can severely wound any player with one attack, and moves as fast as the Scout. Additionally, the Horseless Headless Horsemann is capable of maneuvering around obstacles and climbing slopes, but cannot jump. Thus, defeating him requires a good deal of effort and cooperation from multiple players from either team.

The Horseless Headless Horsemann spawns at whichever capture point is being disputed. He singles out and chases one player randomly determined to be "It", slaying any other players unfortunate enough to be caught between him and his target. A player who is "It" is notified via an on-screen message and can be identified by a white skull and crossbones icon which floats above their head, similar to the effect from being marked for death. A player is designated as "It" until they are killed, are far enough away from the Horseless Headless Horsemann, survive for 30 seconds, or are in an area inaccessible to the Horseless Headless Horsemann, such as the respawn room, in which case another player is randomly assigned as "It". Additionally, a player can hit an enemy player with a melee weapon to pass the "It" status to them.
