Trivia
- When the Mann-Conomy Update was first released, the description for the Wiki Cap listed in the Mann Co. Catalog was "Earned by those knowledgeable few who know how to edit a web page."
- During the Wiki Cap's development, there were a few different color and model variations; aside from the final team-colored scheme, there was a darker team-colored version as well as a black-colored version.
- Although the Wiki Cap is ordinarily solely rewarded to valuable contributors to the Official Team Fortress 2 Wiki, once, as a reward for finding a significant glitch, someone selected and was given an Unusual Wiki Cap with the Sunbeams effect. After people didn't like how this influenced and changed the hats original meaning and that it was unfair to Wiki Cap owners as they got it for contributing to the official wiki, the person who received the unusual version was asked to alter the reward and converted it to an Unusual Burning Flames Max's Severed Head.
