The Pin Pals are a community-created cosmetic item for the Soldier and Pyro. It replaces their grenades with a set of team-colored voodoo-style dolls in the likeness of a Scout, a Demoman, and a Sniper, pricked with two team-colored pricks each.
This item can only be worn around Halloween or during a Full Moon; at other times of the year, it does not appear in gameplay, unless the server has Halloween mode enabled. However, it can be equipped at any time and can still be viewed on the loadout screen even when it is not visible during games.
The Pin Pals were contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Due to how the textures are set up, painting the Pin Pals with single color Paint Cans results in different colorization on the paint regions between teams.
