The Clown's Cover-Up is a community-created cosmetic item for all classes. It gives the classes a white clown mask with team-colored, painted-on decorations, each with their own, unique design:
- Scout's mask has an exaggerated grin and a round and flat nose. The eyes, lips, and the flat nose are painted.
- Soldier's mask has an exaggerated grin. The top right has some painted-on stars, while the left side has horizontal stripes from top to bottom. The lips are painted as well.
- Pyro's mask has mouth severely elongated to the right to fit around their gas mask's filter and exhale valve. The lips, the borders of the gas mask's lenses, and the tip of the nose are painted.
- Demoman's mask has a more serious expression. A dashed line leaves the mask's right eye, crosses the forehead, and ends on an X on the left eye. The nose and lips are also painted.
- Heavy's mask had a sad face. The lips, apple cheeks, eyebrows, and tip of the nose are painted.
- Engineer's mask has a frowning face. The lips, nose tip, apple cheeks, and nose bridge are painted, and three vertical stripes run from the forehead to the eyebrows.
- Medic's mask has a happy smile. The eyes are painted with his class emblem, while the lips are painted as if wearing make-up. The tip of the nose is also painted.
- Sniper's mask has a serious frown. It is painted as a target with two rings, with the bullseye being the tip of the nose.
- Spy's mask does not have a mouth, but is painted with an exaggerated smile. The eyes feature painting that resembles a pair of horns, and the tip of the nose is also painted.
This item has two styles, named "No Hat" and "Hat". The "No Hat" style removes the default hat or helmet of the classes that wear one, while the "Hat" style keeps them. On classes that don't wear a hat or helmet by default, there's no difference between the two styles.
