Trivia
- The front dash on the helmet signifies it is worn by a lieutenant.
- In World War II, the soldiers of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the American 101st Airborne Division, the "Screaming Eagles" were marked with the spade symbol painted on the sides of their helmets. It was used to represent good luck due to its fortunate connotations in card playing. The tic at the 6 o'clock position indicates 2nd Battalion. The 506th still uses a spade on their helmets today.
