Trivia

  • The name and description of Ze Goggles are a reference to a line spoken by Rainier Wolfcastle in the "Radioactive Man" episode of The Simpsons. This line has since developed something of a cult following in online communities, The line spoken is “My Eyes! Ze Goggles do nothing!” This reference is thought to have inspired the description of "nothing"
  • The design of Ze Goggles is a reference to the Ecto-Goggles which make constant appearances throughout the Ghostbusters series. The creator of Ze Goggles submitted their creation to the former contribution page (now replaced by the Steam Workshop) under the name "Ect-oh Goggles".[1]
  • "Picking up" Ze Goggles in the backpack screen makes the same sound as activating the [goggles] in Counter-Strike and it's sequels.
