Trivia
- The term Template:W mostly refers to Spanish adventurers, who journeyed to conquer lands in America. Additionally, "conquistador" translates literally from Spanish and Portuguese as "conqueror".
- The hat was originally based on a conquistador hat featured in the movie Template:W. Though originally intended for the Demoman, the hat fit badly with the Demoman's default hat. The creator subsequently chose the Soldier to wear the hat, citing his adventurous and up-front position in battle as well as the similarity of his nature with historic conquistadors.[1]
