The Spy

The Noh Mercy is a community-created promotional miscellaneous item for the Spy. It is a team-colored traditional Template:W mask. The Spy's cigarette sticks sideways out of its mouth, wedged between two teeth.

Players who pre-purchased Total War: SHOGUN 2 on Steam before March 15, 2011 were awarded with a Genuine quality version of this item.

Update history

March 10, 2011 Patch (Shogun Pack)

  • The Noh Mercy was added to the game.

March 11, 2011 Patch

  • Fixed the new Shogun hats not being grayed out when paint is being used.

March 15, 2011 Patch

  • The item is now able to be traded along with all Shogun Pack items.

October 13, 2011 Patch (Manniversary Update & Sale)

  • [Undocumented] This item was moved to the miscellaneous slot.

Trivia

  • The Noh Mercy appears to have been styled after the Template:W mask, often used to represent a jealous female, that becomes a demon in Japanese Template:W plays.
  • Oni (鬼) are creatures in Japanese folklore, normally taking the role as demons, devils, ogres or trolls.
