El Jefe is a promotional cosmetic item for the Scout. This item gives the Scout long brown, somewhat unkempt hair and a dark green beret with team-colored, paintable trim, similar to a character on the cover art for the game Tropico 4.
This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-ordered Tropico 4 on Steam before September 1, 2011.

- Che Guevara was a Marxist guerrilla leader, who, from stylized prints from the Guerrillero Heroico, is known for long, unkempt hair and a dark green or black beret.
- A caricature of Che Guevara is available as an avatar in the game Tropico 4.
- El Jefe is a Spanish term meaning "the boss".
- Tropico 4 was not available for pre-order in France, Spain and Japan, making this item unobtainable in Genuine quality in those regions.
