The Nabler is a community-created cosmetic item for the Pyro. It replaces the Pyro's head with the robotic head of the Nabler. The eye moves around as the player does. It also changes the Pyro's neck into a metal stick with a yellow wire wrapped around it.

When players equipped with this item kill an enemy unassisted by another player, the killfeed shows everyone in Pyroland that the item gets the kill instead, with its custom name if it has one, and the player gets credited with the assist.

This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who purchased the Double Pack of both Pyro Robot toys from ThreeA Toys.

The Nabler was later contributed to the Steam Workshop, at Valve's request.

Update history

November 10, 2014 Patch

  • The Nabler was added to the game.

Bugs

  • Like the Dapper Disguise, the Nabler may occasionally turn completely yellow. This often occurs when the Pyro is doused in Jarate. That happens because the item is incorrectly set up as a paintable item while it is not.
